The Evening
The Venue
Lynnwood Ridge, Pretoria East
Twenty minutes from Menlyn, forty from Sandton on a Saturday evening. The gate is on the eastern approach and closes at half past six — if you are running late, call the manor rather than the gate.
Parking is on the lower lawn, with an attendant until one o'clock.
Black tie. Dinner jackets and long dresses. The ceremony is indoors and dinner is under cover, but the terrace hour is outside and April evenings in Pretoria turn cold after eight — bring something for your shoulders.
The lawns are grass. Heels will sink; block heels will not.
We adore your children. This particular evening runs late and formal, so we have kept it to adults throughout — no exceptions, which we hope makes it easier rather than harder to decide.
The manor can recommend sitters in Lynnwood if that helps.
Your presence is the whole of it. If you would like to give something anyway, we are putting it towards a fortnight in Portugal rather than a dinner service.
Details on request, or there will be a box by the door.
Staying Over
Shuttles run from the manor to all three of these from eleven o'clock. Tell us on your RSVP if you would like a seat.
RSVP
Find your invitation, reply for everyone in your party at once, and choose your courses. Kindly reply by 20 March 2026.
Invitations are grouped by household, so one reply covers your whole party.
This is an example site. Try Baker, Oosthuizen, Grobler, Patel or Steenkamp to see the lookup and the course selection work.

Questions
A dinner jacket and bow tie for men; a long dress or very formal cocktail dress for women. If you would rather wear a dark lounge suit, please do — nobody will be turned away at the door, and we would far rather have you there.
If your invitation includes a guest, the RSVP above will ask for their name. If it doesn't, we have had to keep the numbers where they are — the room seats what it seats.
Yes, until the twentieth of March. Just reply again with the same surname and it will replace your earlier answer rather than adding a second one.
Not during the ceremony — it is unplugged, phones away and in a pocket. Afterwards, please do, and send us everything. The photographer will be working the whole evening either way, so nothing will be missed.
On the lower lawn, with an attendant until one o'clock. You are very welcome to leave it and collect it before noon on Sunday — we would much rather that than have anyone driving back to Johannesburg after midnight.
Come to whatever part you can. Tell us on the RSVP so the caterers and the seating plan know, and no one will think anything of it.
